A Dream Come True

Earlier this month, I had the absolute honor of photographing Mackenzie and Stephen’s wedding on the breathtaking Oregon Coast! It was every bit as magical as it sounds.

Mackenzie has a deep connection to this place. She grew up spending her summers here with her family, creating beautiful memories along the shore. She was determined to bring that personal history into her wedding day. While the Oregon Coast is often known for elopements or small, intimate celebrations, she dreamed of hosting a big wedding here — and she made it happen beautifully!

The Perfect Start

The day began with a slow morning of getting ready at an Airbnb with family and friends. There was laughter, excitement, and a few happy tears! Then we headed to have our first look at Hug Point. The ocean breeze, rugged cliffs, and shimmering water created a backdrop straight out of a postcard!

From there, they held their ceremony in the sand dunes overlooking the iconic Haystack Rock. It was a scene so stunning it felt like time stood still. The love in the air was palpable, and I could feel the joy radiating from everyone present.

A Reception to Remember

Their reception at The Retreat at Cannon Beach was an evening filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Every detail was intentional. Mackenzie and Stephen didn’t want their wedding to feel like a photoshoot — they wanted to spend the day truly present, surrounded by their favorite people. My approach matched that perfectly! I allowed moments to unfold naturally, focusing on the genuine joy of the day.

The kindness of this couple was matched only by the warmth of their families, who made me feel so welcome and appreciated. And I can’t say enough about the vendor team! Every single person worked seamlessly to bring Mackenzie and Stephen’s vision to life.
